So glad that Nisemonogatari anime decided to show this clearly. Karen, a middle school senior, is taller than her older brother Koyomi, who’s a high school senior. Now, in the coming couple episodes, Karen will be in positions that make it hard to tell how freakishly tall she is, but I hope we get to see more of that throughout the series.

Koyomi: I guess I wouldn’t know, but is that [arcade] game any fun for a high schooler?

Suruga: What are you talking about? Age isn’t a factor when it comes to good games. I’ve already spent almost 3,000 yen on it today. A bunch of kids lined up behind me, but I have no intention of letting them play.
